- Logistics Coordinator required in Runcorn – Permanent Position.
Our client is looking for an experienced Logistics Coordinator to work at their office in Manor Park, Runcorn.
Main duties include
- To facilitate the shipping of products globally.
- To arrange transportation of products according to the manufacturing schedule and in liaison with Dispatch Department.
- To work closely with various internal departments
- To maintain a current knowledge of shipping legislation and documentation (to include shipping of hazardous products).
- To prepare all order documentation.
- Management of warehouse capacity
- To monitor activities throughout the manufacturing process to ensure that deadlines are met.
- To continually review transportation rates and to be involved in the selection of preferred suppliers
Key Skills and Experience
- Experience with importing and exporting goods (knowledge of exporting hazardous goods desirable).
- Knowledge of Customs & Excise requirements.
- Knowledge of relevant import and export documentation.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Strong MS Office knowledge (Word, Excel and Outlook).
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Ability to create and manage working databases / spreadsheets.
- Ability to deal with overseas enquiries - end customer and distribution (by telephone and email).
The job operates Monday to Friday; working 8.30am until 4.30pm.
The salary is £26,000- £29,000 depending on experience.
This is a permanent position.
